How Home Sapien will work

Big home projects are stressful for one reason: you’re handing a lot of money to someone you just met, for work that’s hard to price. Home Sapien is being built to fix both — a fair price from real competition, and your money kept safe until the work is done right.
1. Describe your project once
Answer a few quick questions — size, materials, the basics — and you get an instant cost range, with your project ready to share. No site visit, no phone tag.
2. Vetted local pros bid blind
A few vetted contractors in your area bid on your exact project — without seeing each other’s bids, and without your phone number or email. You compare real, like-for-like prices instead of chasing quotes. Because bidding is blind both ways, no one’s racing to reach your phone first, and no one can pull the job off the platform.
3. Your money is held until you approve
When you hire, your payment is held safely — not paid out. It’s released to your contractor only as you approve the completed work. The pro gets paid when you’re happy; you’re never out money for work that isn’t done.
Not a lead site
Most “find a contractor” sites sell your phone number to five companies and let them fight over you. We don’t. Your contact details stay private, bidding is blind, and we’re paid through the transaction — not by selling your details — so we’re on your side. No spam, no lead fees.
Who does the work
Contractors are independent local businesses we vet — not our employees. The work contract is between you and the pro you choose; Home Sapien runs the marketplace and protects the funds.
